# What should I do if my steering wheel vibrates after installation?
## For larger and more aggressive tires, some vibration after installation can be normal. If you are experiencing a strong vibration or pull, check your lug nut torque and contact us if the issue persists.
Experiencing vibrations after installing new wheels and tires can be concerning, but in many cases it is completely normal or easy to resolve.
**Some vibration is normal** if you just installed larger mud terrain tires, you may notice some natural vibration from the aggressive tread pattern hitting the road. This is not necessarily a sign of anything wrong, it is just the nature of a more aggressive tire.
**Common causes of vibration**
- Wheels or tires that are out of balance
- Improper torque on lug nuts
- Wheels not properly centered on the hub
- Balance beads that have not fully settled
**What to do**
If you are experiencing a strong vibration or pull that does not feel normal, here are a few steps to take:
- Check that your lug nuts are properly torqued to your vehicle's specifications using hand tools
- Use hub rings during installation to ensure the wheel is centerer properly
- Visit a reputable wheel and tire shop to have your wheels and tires inspected and rebalanced if needed
- If you have balance beads, give them some time to settle as they may need a little more driving time to fully balance out
**A note on balance beads:** Balance beads are a great balancing option, but they are not guaranteed to work perfectly in every application. While it is rare, some wheel and tire combinations may not balance out perfectly with this method. If you are having issues, contact us and we will be happy to help find a solution.
